Analytical Chemistry 

Our analytical chemistry platform is fully integrated into synthetic chemistry and process development platforms and offers tailored solutions to your research projects. We develop and validate methods for quality control, impurity profiling, and DEL library analysis using advanced instrumentation. 

Quality control 

We ensure the safety and integrity of your products by detecting contaminants from synthesis steps and degradation, side products guaranteeing high quality standards. Our analytical platform offers a wide range of advanced techniques: 

  • NMR (1D/2D): 1H, 13C, 19F on 400–500 MHz magnets 
  • LC-MS / LC-QTOF 
  • SFC-MS chiral and achiral 
  • GC-MS 
  • Residual solvent determination (GC-MS) 
  • Water content (Karl Fischer) 
  • Sulfated ash determination 
  • Chemical and chiral Stability test: stability over time in different storage conditions, media, pH or under UV irradiation (suntest). 

Quantification & Physico-Chemical Analyses 

We provide accurate quantitation using LC-MS, LC-UV, LC-CAD, Q-NMR, and GC-MS (SIM mode). Physico-chemical analyses include melting/boiling points, glass transition, crystallinity, thermal hazard, DSC/TGA, specific rotation, and X-ray powder diffraction. 

Exposed Polar Surface Area (EPSA) 

Predicting Drug Permeation: EPSA method supports blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability prediction for acidic, basic, neutral, and amphoteric compounds using SFC. 

Purification Platform 

The Novalix preparative platform delivers high-quality purification solutions, addressing a broad range of requests with precision and flexibility. Our expertise covers multiple techniques, ensuring optimal results for diverse compounds. Techniques include: 

  • HPLC (Normal & Reverse Phase): across our different sites, our experts provide purification for a wide range of compounds—small molecules, peptides, lipids, PROTACs, and DEL libraries. With flexible configurations, we handle quantities from milligrams to grams using UV, MS, ELSD, or CAD detection. 
  • SFC: This technique delivers efficient separations for a wide range of compounds and is ideal for both chiral and achiral application, including enantiomers and diastereoisomers. Our equipment handles batches from milligrams to grams. A broad selection of chiral columns ensures optimal method development, while achiral columns complement liquid chromatography for effective impurity removal. 
  • High-throughput library purification: possibility to develop tailored methos to purify chemical libraries up to 70 compounds/day.
