The NovAliX Best Lecture Award was granted to two winners from at MOCS 2023 (Merck Organic Chemistry Symposium). Organized by Prof. Annemieke Madder from Gent University, this 25th edition was held in Blankenberge (Belgium) from November 30 to December 1, 2023.
The MOCS event brings together Belgian organic chemists from both academic institutions and industry. The scientific program includes five invited lectures, two poster sessions and a series of oral communications presented by Ph. D. students or postdoctoral fellows.
Prof. Pr Georgios Vassilikogiannakis awarded the NovAliX Best Lecture prize in presence of Dr Céline Sperandio and Dr Marine Aublette from NovAliX to two speakers sharing the first place:
- Sem Bleus for his lecture entitled “Aqueous Sodium Tosylate: A Sustainable Medium for Alkylations”
- Jan Meffert for his lecture entitled “From a synthetic methodology towards a bioconjugation tool: 5HP20 as next generation maleimide alternatives”
