Research associate in organic chemistry (M/ F)

Under the responsibility of a chemical NovAliX Project Manager, you will join a clinical-stage start-up in which you will contribute by molecule syntheses to move forward the research programs on hepatologic diseases and viral infections. Your mission will consist in:

• Carrying out and monitoring multi-step organic syntheses (mg to g scale).
• The purification of the molecules obtained.
• The characterization of the products synthesized by classical analytical techniques (LC-MS, NMR).
• The writing up of experimental procedures.

Profile

The successful candidate will have a B.Sc. or a M.Sc. in organic chemistry with at least 2 years’ previous industry experience in R&D. Only candidates showing significant experience in organic chemistry will be considered.

Mastery of common techniques in synthesis, purification (chromatography…), and analysis is essential.

We are seeking a rigorous and organized individual, with good adaptation skills and learning abilities. Good knowledge of English both spoken and written. Speaking Dutch is an asset.
