Project Manager/Scientist – Scale-up chemist (M/F) – Braine l’Alleud, BELGIUM

Within a NovAliX insourcing team based in a pharmaceutical company, your mission will mainly consist in:

• Conducting large scale syntheses (up to several hundred grams) to deliver new chemical entities and key building blocks for pharmaceutical research programs.
• Ensuring that the batches delivered meet the quantities, purities and deadlines required for the project’s needs.
• Participating in synthetic route design and route optimization.
• Reporting your work to your management and the client.

Your projects can involve both the reproduction and optimization of already established syntheses as well as the setting up of novel procedures leading to innovative molecules for therapeutic ends.

Profile

You should have a PhD in organic chemistry with a post-doctoral experience and/or an industrial experience with a relevant expertise in large scale synthesis. We are seeking a person who is passionate about science and who has a keen sense of responsibility as well as being a committed team player. The candidate will have a rigorous and organized attitude to work with excellent reporting skills.
