Job description

As project manager you will join a multidisciplinary team of biophysicists which supports pre-clinical projects. With the help of the platform manager, and under his supervision, and you will be involved in a variety of NMR-related projects including fragment screening, drug-target interaction, biological NMR as well as analytical or quantitative NMR. You will be expected to:

  • Design, execute, process, and analyze NMR experiments autonomously following appropriate protocols with minimal guidance of the supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot experimental issues and contribute towards the development and optimization of new methods. Provide technical support for the NMR platform, including instrument maintenance.   
  • Provide written accurate reporting with minimal supervision.
  • Take charge of project progression, actively participate in the discussions with other team members, and communicate ongoing tasks and results with the clients.
  • Contribute to developing project proposals, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Train your team with the NMR methods/techniques that you master.

Profile

You have a PhD in Biological/Biophysical NMR, or in a closely related field, or have an equivalent experience with a min. of 3 years in the pharma/CRO industry. You should have an advanced knowledge of NMR in the context of drug discovery and/or structural biology.

You have a solid expertise in using high field NMR Bruker instruments and NMR software including processing, assignment, and structure calculation. Knowledge in protein biochemistry and protein purification is a plus.
