Meet Novalix at the 17th Winter Conference on Medicinal & Bioorganic Chemistry (WCMBC) 2025!
The 17th WCMBC is essential for professionals seeking advanced insights and networking opportunities. More than 40 international speakers will deliver presentations on key topics in medicinal and bioorganic chemistry. It is organized by The Medicinal & Bioorganic Chemistry Foundation (MBCF).
“Identification of FIB992-093, a highly selective discoidin domain receptor 1 (DDR1) inhibitor with excellent PK properties to explore the potential of DDR1 inhibition in fibrotic diseases“
Do not miss the presentation of our scientific poster by Frank Moffatt, PhD, FRSC, Senior Director of Business Development.
The poster session will take place on Tuesday, February 3rd, from 7.00 to 8.30 pm.
Abstract:
Discoidin domain receptors (DDRs) belong to the family of transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). This family includes two distinct members, DDR1 and DDR2. In addition to integrins receptors, DDRs are part of receptors that can be activated by collagen. Upon binding of collagen, tyrosine(s) in the kinase domain are auto phosphorylated and shifted from the inactive to the active state. Dysregulation of DDRs has been associated with a variety of diseases including cancer, fibrosis and kidney diseases, among others. DDR1 is predominantly expressed in epithelial cells while DDR2 is mainly expressed in cells of mesenchymal origin. […] More to come soon!
