We are pleased to share that Dr Luc Van Hijfte, Distinguished Research Fellow at Novalix and President of the EFMC, has been invited to speak at the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Institute of Organic and Analytical Chemistry (ICOA), a joint research unit of the University of Orléans and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). Recognized for its excellence in the design, synthesis, and analysis of bioactive molecules, ICOA brings together a dynamic, multidisciplinary research community dedicated to advancing organic chemistry and its applications.

Dr Van Hijfte will hold a plenary conference on July 16, 2026 at 4.50 p.m.
His presentation will highlight the rapidly evolving pharmaceutical R&D landscape and how collaborative innovation between biotech companies and CROs is accelerating drug discovery. As a case study, he will present the discovery of novel METTL3 inhibitors, illustrating the power of integrated scientific partnerships to deliver innovation.
