Micro Electron Diffraction

Small molecule structural elucidation: from powder to atomic resolution

Micro electron diffraction (MicroED) is a cutting-edge technology that uses electrons for 3D structural determination. The technique is analogous to X-ray diffraction and delivers comparable resolution.

MicroED can be carried out using powders containing nano-crystals that are too small for X-ray diffraction. Additionally, the precise structural characterization of polymorphs is particularly useful as support for the CMC section of regulatory packages.
