Exciting news: Novalix has welcomed the new switchSENSE® technology, expanding our biophysics capabilities and opening new possibilities for research.
switchSENSE® is a biophysical technology used by Bruker’s heliX+ biosensors to enable real-time monitoring of molecular interactions between an immobilized ligand and an analyte in solution.
Based on electrically activated DNA nanolevers on a biochip surface, it provides unique access to interaction kinetics, conformational changes, and ternary complex formation.
Not only switchSENSE® enables kinetic and affinity measurements (kon, koff, KD), in a way comparable to SPR, but it also provides additional information on the hydrodynamic radius of the protein upon binding. This makes it particularly useful for studying conformational or structural rearrangements, multivalent interactions, and complex assemblies such as ternary complexes.
Providing deeper insight within the same experiment, switchSENSE® leads to better compound ranking, clearer differentiation between candidates, and reduced risk when progressing complex modalities such as molecular glues, PROTACs, or multivalent biologics.
