Careers in research: USF students explore Drug Discovery at Novalix

Posted on Apr 02, 2026

Novalix was delighted to welcome undergraduate students from the University of South Florida (USF) for an immersive, behind-the-scenes visit of our Strasbourg site on March 19, 2026.

The day began with a warm introduction by our President, Stephan Jenn, setting the stage for a rich program of learning, exchange, and discovery.

Coming from diverse majors, including Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, and Psychology, the students are exploring future career paths while developing a global perspective on how molecular sciences contribute to society.

During their visit, they had the opportunity to:
– Discover the role of a CRO in drug discovery
– Explore case studies on DNA-Encoded Libraries (DEL), PROTAC, and Mass Spectrometry Screening
– Tour our laboratories in biophysics, protein science, DEL, chemistry, analysis & purification, pharmacology, and DMPK

Their curiosity, engagement, and thoughtful questions made the exchange especially meaningful.

We extend a warm thank you to the CEPA Foundation for organizing the tour, and to the professors and students for their enthusiasm: it was a pleasure to share our science and daily activities with you.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to all Novalix teams involved for their excellent organization, high-quality scientific presentations, and insightful lab tours, which truly showcased our expertise and passion.

We look forward to seeing where your scientific journeys will lead you.
