As part of its series of internal seminars called Better Science Talks, Novalix was thrilled to welcome Dr Cyrille Sabot, CNRS Research Director at Laboratoire CARMeN, Université of Rouen Normandie, last November 13, 2025.
Dr Sabot kindly accepted the invitation of Dr Sylvain Guizzetti, Director of Process and Flow Chemistry.

Dr Cyrille Sabot earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Strasbourg in 2007 and joined CNRS in 2010. His research focuses on photochemical bioconjugation, protein modification, and the synthesis of biologically active compounds.
Photochemical Chemistry in the Service of Drug Discovery and the Investigation of Biological Processes
In his talk held both in person and digitally for Novalix employees, Dr Sabot presented innovative photochemical strategies to accelerate the discovery of enzyme inhibitors and explore protein–ligand interactions.
His work combines kinetic target-guided synthesis and chemoproteomics to streamline drug discovery and uncover new biological mechanisms.
Thank you to Dr Sabot for his insightful presentation which generated engaging discussions!
